Creating Compassionate Cultures Foundation Training offers a secular approach to awakening and nurturing a more compassionate, altruistic attitude in children. The work developed at Tara Redwood School is based on ancient wisdom and adapted for the modern world. Emphasizing mindfulness, interconnection, change, perception, empathy and compassion, this course provides a guide to empowering you and children in your life to make a positive difference in the world.
We will follow a systematic step-by-step process of ‘Seven Steps’. This process will lead participants along a journey of discovery, beginning with the question, “What do I really want?” and concluding with an inquiry of “Putting Compassion into Action”. Our journey follows a logical sequence of steps that engages one’s own wisdom and experience by employing logical reasoning, dialogue and reflection. We will explore practical tools and methodologies developed at Tara Redwood School and allow time for group innovation to create new ideas and activities that suit your needs.
Although the activities and approaches we present have been developed primarily for children 3 – 10 years of age, they are easily adapted for any age group. In this way the training is suitable for everyone. |
